Project Description
Richard Jaques briefed The Shape to create the Bumper Consulting brand identity. The businessman and founder of the company worked closely with our team.
We took Richard out for coffee for the first meeting. Carrying out the workshop in a more relaxed environment, helped. He shared stories and experiences he may not of told in the office, for example.
The business offers marketing support with a particular focus on the sports industry.
The branding brief was to create an identity to engage with sports clubs. Football, cricket and race courses, for instance.

To start with, we developed the business name. The name Bumper came out on top because of its double meaning. A bumper crowd and the name of a horse race. The races are used by trainers to give horses experience on a racecourse before beginning a career in jumps racing.
The Shape creative's used a combination of royal green, white and beige. As a result it created an upmarket feel for the Bumper Consulting Brand Identity. Strong and simple visual assets where created to integrate with the selected fonts:
- Elegant stripes
- Diverse crowd icons
- Tinted background images
